Hi! I'm Beth and I'm the chef behind Fig Tree Kitchen

I’m a New York based chef, baker, gardener, and Architect. After a decade working as an Architect, I took a (late) gap year and went to cooking school on an organic farm in Ireland after which I traveled around Europe interning in kitchens and on farms. During this time, I spent a year in Italy at the Rome Sustainable Food Project, founded by Alice Waters. Upon returning to the US, I spent a full growing season as a farm apprentice on a Biodynamic farm in the Hudson Valley of New York. Most recently, I have helped open two new restaurants and been instrumental in the day to day operations and training of staff. I believe in the transformative power of good food to bring people together in health and community and to connect them to their surroundings.
